Material Design first became available on 01 Apr 2015. It is estimated that Material Design has been downloaded between 10000 and 50000 times from the Play Store.

Material Design 1.2.005 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
